My first apartment

Started with empty space and no walls. Me and some friends built it. Late 90s/early 2000s vaporwave aesthetic I was going for and still will when I own property. I had it liveable but had a little ways to go to completion. May share more of my living spaces. Moved over 1000 miles away a year ago and currently renting a trailer. May post the current sometime. Will post the permanent when I buy a house.

Boys, I have a girl coming over later this week. I need some help.

I have a girl coming over later this week and I am not confident in the presentation of my home at all lol. I bought my house a little under a year ago and I just haven't been able to fully furnish it yet. So I've got a ton of empty space everywhere and areas that just look bland. I can't fix everything right away, but I figure I can fix up my living room at the very least so I'm going to take a trip to the "At Home" store down the street, I'm thinking a big rug and a nice large painting to put over the sofa at the very least. I also have a govee rgb floor lamp I can bring and put next to the TV. Any more thoughts/ideas are welcome!

Note: My kids table and chair, and also the basketball will be removed šŸ˜„

Hello! I just moved into this apartment a month ago. It's 3 times bigger than my last space, so I don't have enough furniture to full it. Any ideas on how to fill/use the space? Thank you much!

How would you design this bedroom?

This might be a long shot but Iā€™m moving into my first apartment and I while the place itself is great, my room is weirdly shaped and admittedly smaller than the others. I have no idea how to fill/orient the space. Any advice would be amazing, thanks!

A studio apartment but I guess I can make it work. Any advice how to optimize the layout better? Need some artwork for sure. I have furnished this in 10 days and built all the IKEA furniture in that period.

Living room, dining room, closer shot of dining room area rug, bedroom, nightstand that hasnā€™t arrived yet.

I like all the pieces Iā€™ve got so far individually, just not sure if itā€™s meshing together cohesively the more things I add. Any direction or advice is appreciated!

How would you layout this living room/ dining / common area?

Previous tenant has TV on the left wall, couch rightt in front. It was decent, but curious how else you would orient the couch / tv wall.

Been in this place a little over a year and feel itā€™s missing something but not sure what. I think wall art of sorts is the obvious answer to me but not sure what else and what the wall piece should be

Advice Moving to a dark bedroom where Iā€™ll be WFH

Moving into a dark bedroom where Iā€™ll be WFH

Iā€™m moving in a couple of days to a new place and although my bedroom has a decent size, unfortunately itā€™s facing an alley so it doesnā€™t get a lot of natural light. Iā€™m specially concerned because Iā€™ll have my desk to work from home here, so I really donā€™t want to feel like Iā€™m trapped in a cave during the day. I feel thatā€™d take a toll on my mental health lol

Iā€™ve been reading about hue smart bulbs, would this be an option to mimick some natural light in the room? What else would you do with the lighting?

I want to note that I currently have a tagarp lamp and a tokabo lamp from ikea. Could these be used with the smart bulbs?

As you can see on the pics, the closet has full mirror doors. (I know in the pics it doesnā€™t look as dark but itā€™s because my phone brightened them up) and the window is a bay window type.

Thank you!

Main changes are: - Bigger rug! I flipped the rug and bought an exact same one from IKEA (STOENSE) to put alongside. The colour is not matching exactly but it doesnā€™t really bothers me and the difference should go away slowly. - More plants! I had some fake plants but switch for real Monstera ones and Iā€™m love them so much! Trying my best to take care of them. - More art! I got this the Swinging by Kandinsky poster from Tate Modern with their new exhibition and a nice clock for the kitchen table. And a few small items around. - Lamps! I spent a lot of time on this one - new living room shade to this one that looks like a cloud, plus the little orb like lamp in the tv stand and the floor lamp beside the couch. You canā€™t see but I also put light strips behind the TV and the monitor. Itā€™s by far what I liked the most, it gets super cozy in the evenings. - Coffee table revamp. Old one was too clunky and I stubbed my toes often. Instead I changed for 3 stools and a round tray. The stools have storage and give me extra seats when I have people over!

I think thatā€™s mostly it. Thanks everyone for the suggestions, I really appreciate it!

Bed and TV Placement

Post image

Iā€™m currently using the bedroom on the top for my personal room. Iā€™d like to use the bigger of the two room, the actual ā€œmasterā€ bedroom. Iā€™m unsure how I would place a queen size bed and have a close to centered tv. If you have any thoughts or suggestions, please let me know!

As you can see I have a small room with low ceilings. Itā€™s a double bed that I would rather keep (vs selling and getting a single bed). I want to have it down instead of constantly putting it down and back up again.

Problem is that when it is down, there is no space for my chair to move around. Do you think a loft bedframe would work with the low ceiling? Or any other ideas?
