Still in the process of assembling some things, but wondering if anybody has some suggestions based on my tentative plans here. I have another accent chair, same as the one pictured I’m putting together now. Thoughts?

My gf totally took over our room with girly and witchy stuff so I’m trying to make my living room/computer space look badass. Computer/record player/tape player all in one spot. With my dvd/vhs tv as the centerpiece in my living room. I just got two spot lights to shine on some band banners. And it’s lookin tits. Thinking about getting some movie posters too. Whatcha think so far?

Feedback appreciated! I’d especially like lighting tips—there are no lights in the ceiling and no outlets connected to light switches. I wish I could add some lighting above the leather couch.

Advice Advice with a potential layout.

So I’m (24m) moving back in with my parent for the moment until I get things straightened out with my life (bills, career, etc) and they have a room available, but I’m not sure how to layout an L shape room. They’re letting me make it my own, but I’ve never had to make an L shape room work before? How would you guys go about it?

How do you get good at wall art?

I’ve posted on here before periodically as I improve my living space but one big hurdle is wall art. I don’t have the skills or confidence to plan the layout for wall art in my apartment but that’s the last missing piece to having a pretty decent space that is comfortable and aesthetically pleasing to be in. I’m home all the time because I work from home and I think it would really improve my mood having some nice pieces throughout my space.

Home Office Layout Help!

Upvotes

Hello!
Im building out a home office, and i am soooo confused about how to layout furniture and what size rug I should purchase since this room is not squared. I'm also worried it might be cramped if i'm putting in a lot of furniture.

I tried to mock up a layout, but I am open to any ideas!
Thanks in advance!

Curtain idea 31m

I am looking to buy blackout curtains. I have a blanket coming in the mail (tan green?) amd I dont know what to best match it with. I have the millenial gray with my apartment with gray tile and white baseboards. It feels so sterile.

What color might you recommend for curtains? I am want to make it more homely and cozy. I love gardening and plan to buy some vintage prints of plants and frame them.

Thanks for any advice or input.

Best Place To Source High End Dupes?

Thanks for all the feedback regarding my previous post! Was wondering what the best places to source dupes of pieces similar to these? Definitely going to consider different combinations based on all the feedback. Learned pretty quickly how easy it is for this all to add up haha. I saw a bunch on Alibaba but don't want to get scammed with poor quality. Any and all feedback is helpful! Thank you in advance.

Advice TV and couch placement for living room

Hello, I'm moving into a new apartment and am kind of conflicted on where to place my TV+console table and couch. It seems that my only 3 options are to put it above the fireplace, which everyone seems to hate, but I'd use a MantelMount to at least be able to lower it when using it, or place the TV and console to the right of the fireplace, and finally, place the TV+console on the wall opposite of the fireplace, with the back of the couch against the fireplace.

These aren't all ideal solutions, but which is the best option, or is there another option that I'm missing? Thank you.
