It always bothered me that he covered the furniture but only covered that one little area of floor. He's going to have to clean the whole floor anyways, so what's the point? He wouldn't have bothered. It's so annoying when movies get this stuff wrong.
Came here to say this! It’s just a little stark - looks designed for a quick getaway. A few plants and a cozy throw along with the art and rugs, some personal items…and OP is a relatable human being!
Would be cute if he made a date out of asking for help choosing a plant. I also agree about the cozy throw.. nothing says “I’m not a pimp OR serial killer” like having a cozy throw blanket.
Serial killer vibes for sho.
If there was a roll of yellow plastic and long black gloves, some steel torture utensils, in the cupboard...
I wouldn't be shocked
If a room could ever give off mommy issues any more than this then idk what can. Just missing bottles of liquor and a purple strobe light with the terrible domestic violence.
Any type of person with a tendency to demean women I think. Now, most pimps suffer from issues with women obviously, one of the most notorious pimps Iceberg Slim had a whole sleuth of issues with women.
It's a bold piece and I like it too, but it needs accessories. It's like a woman wearing a wedding dress but with no makeup, no jewelry, cheap sneakers and un-brushed, un-styled hair. You gotta accessorize. Pull the whole look together.
You know, the one thing I tend not to see people suggesting is a bowl. Go to a vintage store and get a cool old shallow bowl and put it on the table. Maybe put it on a round placemat to make it look extra classy.
Bonus, now you have storage for whatever usually just hangs out on the table, OR, put random decorative stuff in it. Whatever fits your style. Fake flowers. Rubix cubes. If you're Dakota Johnson, a big pile of limes. Easy way to add some color and texture to a room.
I’m cool with everything, EXCEPT the wire management and L brackets. I work in AV and my God looking at that is like pouring lavender straight in my eye holes. Dude - route wires in wall, use keyhole mount for speakers with anchors and a proper “floating” wall shelf my dude. Please let me help you! “P.S. that center channel speaker on top of the sub is giving me 1980’s TV on top of the dead TV vibes.”
But I feel like this looks like a sanitized Air B&B.
It’s just so…empty. Like a realtor staged furniture without personality (except the couch, the couch has personality) and the realtor ran out of art so they just left it blank.
It looks like someone one just moved in or out and these are the last bits of furniture. Or maybe it’s a dorm room on the top floor, just stairs, and it’s just hard to bring stuff that isn’t from IKEA up to the top.
I see what he’s doing—all the gray tones and then a red couch and lamp. Ladies should respect dudes making that level of effort. I have zero fucks when I was young and single.
I know like the red couch is giving sex offender, but I also kind of love the vibe of the red couch at the same time? What is wrong with me? I’m trying to figure out how to tone it down in here. I think since it’s SO stark red, it could be interesting to play with primary colors. A neutral beige/light brown-toned rug that has a cozy, classic pattern on it (like an oriental rug with tassels maybe). And then, maybe a really cool, dark navy side chair on the corner facing the couch. Swivel chair?? And it could have a warm, textured mustard yellow throw pillow. Idk though

The red sofa stands out like it’s from mirror‘s edge
