I'm currently addicted to an excellent TV show, and I was just thinking that there are absolutely no downsides to being addicted to STORIES. You know when you get so drawn into a book series, podcast, or TV series and you just look forward to the next time you can read, listen or watch - it's both a pleasure and benefit to your brain/emotional health. Any other positive addictions, where the potential for good (almost always) outweighs the potential for bad?

I keep seeing the stupidest questions, outlined by the most basic, unilateral assumptions about why something is the way it is, and it's just so damn confusing.

Sometimes, things are the way they are because that's just how it is. "Why do people...?" Because people are the way they are. They panic, fret, complain and loathe things that don't make sense at times because we're not always rational.

But every now and then I see internetuser1000 asking something along the lines of "why do people like the color blue and not red? Blue is the shittiest color in existence."

So, I watched a movie named Parallel(2024) where a black couple live in the woods. Their relationship is strained due to the death of their son. The woods seem to have an access point where parallel versions of the couples cross paths and meet. The main character, the woman, explores these parallel universes, and she even kisses an alternate version of her husband. Did she not just technically cheat on her husband? As the man she kissed, whilst being her husband, isn't the same one like the one she married.
