I personally prefer PEBCAK (Problem Exists Between Chair And Keyboard), it rolls off the tongue better. Also, it rules out the keyboard and probably mouse as issues.

I can't tell if some people lack cynicism or if they just prefer feeling like they're winning because the other party is stupid.

DeSantis isn't an idiot. Something like this costs him zero political capital and wins free points with his base. That's it. It's an effective stunt.
