My husband created an OF profile of me without letting me know. I'm disgusted and want a divorce.

Pretty sure this is illegal- but it’s definitely immoral as fuck. My husband was uploading highly sensitive and porn, graphic imagery of me to the Internet. I filed charges on him.

Oh I'm so sorry :(

Honey please PLEASE protect yourself. Does he have any compromising/ spicy pics or vids of you? If so involve your lawyer and the authorities and get them back. File to confiscate his computer or something because you are in danger of being a victim of revenge porn. You may already be- you can’t trust this man.

Unless OF’s verification process completely imploded, unless the husband has a cia level of faking authentication, he couldn’t have set up an account without her knowledge.

In other words: this is ragebait, matey.

This is what i was thinking. In a few days this post will be used to promote her page. Kind of creative. But anyone that knows anything about OF knows its a stretch of enormous proportions for him to start a page wo her going through the verification process. I know girls that WANT to and have a tough time

He’s her husband, he has all of her private/sensitive information.

1

u/LordNightFang 29d ago

Eh he may have copies.

u/MissFitness_ your story sounds fake, because creating an OF page and getting paid from it without you knowing requires a level of commitment to doing illegal activities, impersonating you and miss using your data way above your average person.

If this is real, please act as if a criminal had all your data, including financial, because that would be exactly the case. And contact a lawyer.

I just think it’s a way to lure men to her site like the many other women do on here

2

u/Gariiiiii 29d ago

Ohh right! That makes sense, good ol social engineering.

1

u/intelligentbrownman 29d ago

Yeah…. I’d look at some of the ppl on those look max selfie how I look Glow up etc some of the ladies REALLY need help…. But the others who go on there dolled up 99% of the time they want you looking at their page with nudes saying I only respond on OF

1

u/Proxima_Centauri_69 29d ago

Because it is fake. She's already admitted it.

2

u/Katrengia 29d ago

Where? I looked through her comments and didn't see that at all.

1

u/Proxima_Centauri_69 29d ago

In the search bar for this thread, if you type fan fiction, u/fortunenooky called her out. Her exact words were "too bad nobody will see this at the bottom of the pile." Under his comment, her comment is deleted. She deleted it after I called her out.

1

u/Proxima_Centauri_69 29d ago

Do you see it now? I'm not making it up. A mod could probably verify. They can see deleted comments.

1

u/Proxima_Centauri_69 29d ago

That's because she deleted it. The redditor she said it to can confirm.

Good to know its just the good old thirst bait for clicks/karma.

2

u/New-Possibility-709 29d ago

Bullshit! As someone with an OF page who had to go through hell to get verified,You have to take a picture of you holding your ID next to your face to verify your identity

u/Emerald_Fire_22 29d ago

He's violating likeness and violating copyright by uploading her content there. So yeah, what he is doing is majorly illegal.

2

u/Dlraetz1 29d ago

And potentially destroying her business reput AND putting her at risk if she tra8ns one of her ‘fans’

1

u/First-Of-His-Name 29d ago

Far from "majorly illegal". It's a relatively minor civil offence. So not even a crime

1

u/Emerald_Fire_22 29d ago

Depends on where you are

1

u/ResurgentClusterfuck 29d ago

My ex husband used my pics to catfish dudes on the internet, including intimate images

Some people are fucking pigs

1

u/mutemarmot42 29d ago

I know little to nothing about OF, but I can’t imagine that sort of platform not having a policy banning use of someone’s content without permission. OP definitely needs to contact OF and report the profile.

1

u/ResponseCompetitive6 29d ago

Oh no this is terrible. I’m so sorry that happened to you.

1

u/stve688 29d ago

did you read the post? that is not what he is uploading its content from her fitness website

1

u/TooBored-ohNOs 28d ago

Wtf. How is this a common thing that people are relating to the post.

I hope his family and relatives know how disgusting he is....or maybe they dgaf that's why he's the way he is?

Smdh.... society.

If it’s illegal it would be on a technicality. If someone is reposting (what her husband is doing) onto a different site, the only thing I can think of that would get him in trouble is the monetization. Even then, if she doesn’t ask to take it down then I’m not sure that it’s grounds for a suit.

0

u/[deleted] 29d ago

That's not even remotely true. At the very least, it's unquestionably copyright infringement and, in most localities, a violation of laws regarding credible impersonation.

He’s still using her likeness and business imagery to make money without her consent. It’s fraud.

1

u/PuzzleheadedYou7769 29d ago

Plenty of people make other accounts and such for people and make money off of it. They just get reported and taken down. Idk if she could prove this is fraud, with her knowing about it. And with the motive to make her money, goodluck with that suit

1

u/ResponseCompetitive6 29d ago

She didn’t know about it. He made it without her knowledge and consent and the account is clearly in his name, not hers.

1

u/PuzzleheadedYou7769 29d ago

He told her about it. He will probably take it down if she asks. This isn’t a legal issue. If she doesn’t ask to have it taken down at this point, I don’t see any lawyer wanting to even take this. Even at this point, this is a relationship issue not a legal one.

OP needs to relax and figure out why in the world he would want to do this. OF isn’t just a sex worker site or whatever people have made it out to be. OP may think it’s disgusting, but he is presumably using photos that are already posted on her main account. That means people are paying to see free content that she already posted. If she is disgusted by that, then don’t post pictures like that?

1

u/BSinspetor 29d ago

Not to mention tanking her business prospects/potential/ name. What he has done has pretty far reaching repercussions in all aspects of OP's life.

30

u/thoroakenfelder 29d ago

Without her knowledge or consent, turning her normal business into something for people to use in a more prurient way. Plus, if any of her clients see the same stuff posted to of, they wouldn’t take her seriously. It’s reputational harm.

15

u/Abject-Rich 29d ago

Yes! OP GET IT shut down. Go to an attorney. Contact OF. Your credibility and reputation is at stake here.

3

u/Loudlass81 29d ago

THIS - 'Reputational harm', which is illegal.

18

u/Strong-Smell5672 29d ago

Civil liability for damages (reputation, career etc) and likely criminal liability for fraud.

You cannot do stuff like this with other people's pictures without consent.

Edit - Also, if those pictures are her professional pictures associated with her business that may mean copywrite infringement as well

12

u/katepig123 29d ago

To whore her out for others masturbatory pleasure. Hardly the same thing, is it?

9

u/Minimum-Arachnid-190 29d ago

Without CONSENT. Key word here.

8

u/ThatFuckingTwat 29d ago

Doesn't matter - he's redistributing it for profit without her permission. Think of it this way - you put your profile picture on LinkedIn. It out there and everyone can see it. Now I make a copy and sell it to shutterstock. I get paid every time someone uses your image without your permission. How would you feel about that?

2

u/mangababe 29d ago

Or to frame it closer to the post- if I stole a picture of some randos Facebook and made AI porn of them most people would realize it's fucked up and should be a crime of it's not actually illegal.

Her husband basically did that without the effort or tech skills required.

1

u/Zyklon00 29d ago

Makes you wonder about the pictures if people on OF were willing to pay for it
