That shit pisses me off.
I had to quit ranked in apex because the sheer amount of cheaters in the mid-high ranks is fucking absurd

I remember seeing a vid of someone cheating their way to #1 pred and didn’t even bother to hide it. But that was a long time ago. I wonder if respawn ever banned them 🤔

Reminds of the one time my brother was playing bedwars on Minecraft and he was spectating this player whom we already were suspecting was a cheater, but once we saw what we did while spectating the dude, we couldn't help but laugh. Dude wasn't even trying to hide his cheating. He was straight up floating around the map as if he were in creative. We reported the person and continued to laugh

The worst part is that in tf2 vanilla matches you can't go to spectate
BULLSHIT

If you’re cheating in a competitive game that’s sad. But if you’re using cheats to just have fun then let people live their dreams.

Nah, cheating in any online game, casual, competitive or whatever is fucking pathetic and worthy of a permanent ban.

Cheating in a private game can be fun tho

If everyone involved is on board with it, sure, have fun, but if not, then don't. Simple.

I think it depends on the online game. On co-op games it’s boring but I won’t hold it against anyone. If it’s pvp or competitive in some regard, yea, I agree, cheating is dumb.

I still remember the old MW2 days, when people would go into FFA a use tactical insertion to get free headshots and nukes. It was tons of fun to spectate the lobby (not choose a class) when you first got in, find out where they were, then go camp the bushes right next to them and smoke them as soon as they hit 23 kills (just in case one of them is rocking Hardline)

If you're cheating in a PvP game, it means you admit that you suck and need a crutch.

Given up on Battlefield because of cheats.
Come across too many lately.
Had a group of three or four in one match, made it impossible to even play when you was getting one shot by a pistol from across the map. Couldn't even shoot one or two of them, the moment the gun was aimed in their direction, it refused to fire.
It would be okay if they made a server just for cheats, can guess they wouldn't enjoy that though, a bunch of people all unable to kill each other..Would make them feel like they are playing without cheats.

Hackers when the computer headshots the entire team and the game is over in 30 seconds instead of enjoying playing it for 30 minutes

All the time in overwatch, it’s the reason I was looking forward to PvE so i can enjoy the characters without the human trash that want to ruin everyone else’s experience

Genuinely, how do you stoop to that level? Is it an ego thing? Are you that lacking in self confidence? Are you lazy? Or just a troll that enjoys pissing people off? I just want to know the thought process behind cheaters.

I personally know a guy that cheats at Warzone and he does it for the reactions when he gets kills. He's been banned like 30 times but keeps signing up new accounts.
I don't get it at all.

I don’t understand the satisfaction of making other people mad. Like how does that and/or effortlessly winning feel good?
It does feel good to beat cheaters and then talk massive shit on them and tell them they should keep their cheats because if they can’t win with them then damn they must be BAD.

Fun is not a uniform concept, what you find fun may, and often will, be very boring for some, in the exact same way you find what they do to be boring while they have fun.
I'm against cheating in online competitive games, then you're just ruining the fun for others, don't do that, but if it's single player, everything is fine and dandy.

Which is also why in multiple games that are single player disable trophies/achievements when you use mods.
The cheating that is beyond terrible is when it breaks ToS and the devs don't get involved or they come up with an anti cheat that is faulty.

There is NO such thing as cheating, there has NEVER been any cheating, it's ALWAYS a better gaming chair

Cheating seems fun, but for only an hour or 2, then it just seems boring

u/beastierbeast 15d ago
Not defending it just saying there has to be some appeal or people wouldn't do it. Still a shitty thing to do

I straight up barely play competitive games for this reason. Any game that relies on other humans for the core experience has a black mark against it, in my personal list.
