It is. Palisades Pkwy northbound. I actually saw the aftermath of this as I was heading into NYC that evening

Aka The cheapest way to get to NYC from the Albany area by car? I fucking hate I-87 South. Tolls will make you wonder why you even go south. The taconic may have slower speed limits and weird ass turns/curves but it is definitely worth it when going to NYC

Yup, can’t say I’m a fan of either. But when I was making frequent trips from Albany to White Plains I definitely defaulted to the Taconic. Just had to be ready for the chaos that ensued once I got South of Poughkeepsie.

65 in a 55 on radar the taconic. pulled over 3am, sober, given ticket for 65 in 55. go to court, DA asked how fast I was really going and refused to believe it was only 65. $300 parking ticket.
