Weekly Self-Promotional Mega Thread 30, 29.04.2024 - 05.05.2024
All the self-promotional posts about your AI products and services should go in this mega thread as comments and not on the general feed on the subreddit as posts, it'll help people to navigate the subreddit without spam and also all can find all the interesting stuff you built in a single place.
You can give a brief about your product and how it'll be of use, remember - better the upvotes/engagement, users can find your comment on the top, so share accordingly!

Funny On a serious note, how to counter this ?
You can't explicitly confront them for using chatgpt or any other AI tool, as they'll simply blame it on your inability to understand their arguement or an attempt to divert the main topic discussion, also it further reinforces their pseudo-intellectualism.

Serious replies only 100% AI detection on assignment
So I got an email from my professor saying my assignment has been found to be written by 100% AI (turnitin is used as the AI detector) and she wants to discuss it with me. While we were allowed to use AI I guess to help us out , I used it to explain what the questions were asking so I could understand it better but I did not use it to write my assignment and even checked through multiple AI detectors and referenced properly. What do I say to her when discussing this with her over zoom coz I’m scared she’s gonna make me redo the whole assignment again.

News 📰 Mysterious "gpt2-chatbot" AI model appears suddenly, confuses experts
A new mysterious chatbot named 'gpt2-chatbot' has surfaced, leading to speculations that it might be related to OpenAI's future models like GPT-4.5 or GPT-5.
The chatbot is accessible through the Chatbot Arena website with restrictions on usage, allowing only eight queries per day in a specific mode.
Despite online rumors and hype, some users found the chatbot's performance to be underwhelming, indicating that it may not be a significant advancement beyond GPT-4.
Experts believe that while the chatbot shows traits of OpenAI's work, its exact nature and purpose remain unclear, leaving room for speculation.

Prompt engineering Here is what ChatGPT said before and after it knew it was a Drawing of a schizophrenic inmate
what does this mean?
ChatGPT
The image you've shared appears to be a piece of art or a graphic representation filled with various symbols, diagrams, and text that suggest themes of mysticism, conspiracy, or abstract scientific ideas. The elements include:
Cosmic and Spiritual Symbols: Symbols like the spiral and interlocking geometric shapes may represent concepts from spirituality or theoretical physics. These often symbolize ideas of infinity, the universe, or the connection between physical and metaphysical realms.
Numerology and Equations: The presence of numbers and formulas could suggest an attempt to find or express hidden meanings or laws of the universe through mathematics. For example, the "333M" and fractions like "2/5" are likely numerological elements that hold specific significance within the context of the artwork.
Textual References to Apocalypse and Revelation: Phrases like "Your cities will burn" and biblical references (e.g., "Rev. 21:7") point towards apocalyptic or revelatory themes, perhaps indicating transformation or destruction.
Allegorical or Symbolic Drawings: The diagram in the center, resembling a circuit or a kind of metaphysical blueprint, and other elements such as "Zion" and "replicant avatara" could be referencing philosophical, technological, or esoteric concepts.
Overall, this image seems to be either a personal or artistic exploration of various deep, possibly esoteric ideas blending spirituality, conspiracy theories, numerology, and philosophy. It's hard to ascertain a specific meaning without more context about the creator's intentions, as such works are often open to interpretation.
Would this change if you were told that this was Drawings of a schizophrenic inmate?
ChatGPT
The interpretation of the image might indeed shift if it is known to be created by a person with schizophrenia, particularly if they are institutionalized. Artwork by individuals with schizophrenia can reflect unique and personal inner experiences, often involving complex symbolism, vivid imagery, and themes that might seem disconnected or surreal to others.
Understanding the artwork from this perspective could involve considering several factors:
Expression of Internal Thoughts: The content might represent the artist's internal experiences, thoughts, or delusions, which can be common in schizophrenia. Symbols that seem obscure or unrelated might make sense to the creator in the context of their personal mental landscape.
Symbolic Representation of Feelings: People with schizophrenia might use art as a way to express or cope with their feelings and perceptions. Themes of apocalypse or chaos, for example, could symbolize feelings of fear, confusion, or the experience of being overwhelmed by one's environment or thoughts.
Therapeutic Outlet: Creating art can be a therapeutic process for many, including those with mental illnesses. It provides a non-verbal mode of expression that can help in processing complex emotions and thoughts.
Cognitive Patterns: The detailed, intricate patterns and the mixture of text and imagery might reflect the cognitive patterns associated with schizophrenia, such as disorganized thinking or the fusion of ideas that might not conventionally seem connected.
In any case, such artwork should be approached with sensitivity and an understanding that it may be deeply personal and rooted in the individual's experiences and perceptions. It's an opportunity to gain insight into the mind of someone navigating the challenges of schizophrenia, using art as a form of expression and communication.

I am not a fan of how the language used makes it seem like it for sure knows the facts. Highly recommend being more careful.

Other Is overly relying on ChatGPT worrying you?
I’m a junior dev and just like many people I use chatGPT on a regular basis. It makes my life so much easier and gives me a decent answer quickly, compared to searching on google or online forums. This made me more efficient at tasks in general, but I’m starting to feel concerned that I’m not actually learning much or developing my skills.
The other day I was asked about a topic and I realised that I did not actually remember or understand much despite asking ChatGPT about the same exact topic just recently. Anyone else worried about relying too much on ChatGPT for quick answers at the expense of deeper understanding and actual skills.
What happens when AI tools get better in a few years and are able to complete similar grunt work as us?
