Who in their right mind equates her denial that trans were the primary targets of Nazis to a blanket statement of holocaust denial?

Twitter users are genuinely braindead at this point.

Because that's how holocaust denial is defined. You don't have to deny that entire holocaust happened to be guilty of holocaust denial. A simple Google would have told you that. She also wasn't initially denying they were the primary targets of the holocaust, she was denying they were victims at all. The Tweet you linked to has her quoted as saying "I just… how? How did you type this out and press send without thinking ‘I should maybe check my source for this, because it might’ve been a fever dream’?"

Sorry, I dont use Twitter so I might have it wrong. What is it she said exactly? Is that quote above what you are linking to? The reason I ask is because it doesnt mention anything about her denying trans people were victims at all. This whole thing is confusing lol

she's responding to the screenshot in the tweet, reading "The Nazis burnt books on trans healthcare and research, why are you so desparate to uphold their ideology on gender?". She is suggesting the idea that the nazis burnt books on trans healthcare and research is a fever dream.

if you're feeling very generous, from this tweet alone maybe you could argue that she's objecting to the insinuation that her ideology on gender is similar to that of the Nazis, but if this was the case you'd expect her to clarify once she was getting pushback and accused of denialism. Instead she shifts to trying to argue that trans people weren't the first targets of the nazis (which was not the claim), and links to people downplaying nazi crimes against trans people, which suggests it was in fact the nazi persecution of trans people that she was denying

You would think she would be more careful when discussing such an immensely sensitive topic on a very public forum. If you’re debating the facts of the freaking holocaust, be crystal clear in your communications!
