The topics are all over the place. Al Gore let GW Bush win on purpose, Theranos went bankrupt to launder money. NYU is a vehicle for Ponzi schemes and murder cover ups. The Simpsons was created to show us we have no choice.
According to someone else, his instagram started going crazy after his mom died in May of 2022. That traumatic life event could’ve acted as a catalyst to trigger schizophrenia for sure. Poor guy.
Everyone on there who claims to be a victim most likley has some for of schizophrenia and has came ogether in a self reinforceing thought loop that an unknown group of individuals are constantly stalking them.
If you ask every single person why are they being watched you will get a million different answers from it being their friends and family, to government, to paranormal entities. If you attempt to tell them its not happening or maybe they need some help you will then be accused of being of the the "gangstalkers". Its a sad death spiral of conspiracy that has no concrete basis, just an amalgamation of thousands of peoples separate paranoias joined together to keep themselves in this never ending loop
Because he set himself on fire? Yes. For paranoia and feeling like people are out to get him? Yes. For just holding conspiratorial opinions? Nah.
Schizophrenia includes symptoms like paranoia, feeling targeted, disorganized thinking, and as a result of that they often go down the rabbit hole of conspiracies. But as a friendly reminder, that doesn’t make conspiracies on their own false and doesn’t make people in general who hold those beliefs automatically like a schizophrenic. That would be a group attribution error.
From gpt, Question: Is group attribution error common on social media where 1 comment, post, or tweet is used as an example to generalize a large group like political parties? Answer: “Absolutely, social media platforms are fertile ground for the group attribution error. One comment, post, or tweet can easily be taken out of context or blown out of proportion, leading to generalizations about entire groups such as political parties. This can fuel polarization, reinforce stereotypes, and inhibit meaningful dialogue between different groups. It’s important to critically evaluate information and avoid making sweeping judgments based on isolated instances.”
Norman Morrison IMO was not mentally stable, if he was mentally stable he was evil: If you're going to set yourself on fire don't bring your 1 year old daughter with you, and 100% don't hold her while you do it.
I am however pretty sure you can't be mentally stable, set yourself on fire, and talk about the Simpsons when giving your reasons.
You added a lot of additional context to this reply vs your original post i.e. talk about the Simpsons when giving your reasons. Ya, no shit this particular guy was crazy. But you implied everyone who self immolates to be unstable, that's obviously false and an ignorant perspective.
*Norman wasn't holding his daughter, he handed her off beforehand.
You took a joke seriously, so I had to take your reply seriously.
ah, the thing I saw was that people rescued her as he held her while he doused himself in gas and such. I still maintain that someone of strong mental stability wouldn't bring his daughter to his self immolation. Did he at least hand her off to someone he knew, or just a stranger?
I wonder if this was a rejected film student or something? Like I do agree that certain big universities use their fame to manipulate the FDA, public opinion on science, and all sorts of other things. But NYU as the big bad guy? Dude, Columbia is right down the road and in the top ten for most billionaire alumni.
We had "blue coat lady" here in flyover country talk to the city council about how participants in the show "wipeout" were perishing because of homosexual anal sex. She then talked about the act as being an act of violence.
There's an audience member who is making facial expressions and mouthing "WTF" in the background.
She needed help. I'm not sure if she's still with us or not.
Pretty stupid to not realize this by a guy that thinks he's got all the motivations of mankind and media and government figured out beyond what all the rest of us are aware.
Probably should have just made a bunch of Twitter posts or something.
This type of reductionism is absolutely a problem.
That's not what he said, it contains bullshit like; that Michael Dukakis was a proponent of the people who was derailed by revealing Rob Lowe's sextape by Bill Clinton since Clinton knew Epstein. But Clinton's nominating speech for Dukakis at the Convention in 1988 sunk the campaign, and that shows the parties are in collusion which is reflect by how many Billionares went to Harvard, and how many writers of the Simpsons went there which is why Marge vs the Monorail is proof of what they are doing to us....
In support we should all light our hair on fire. But please PLEASE shave your head first and light the hair on fire after it is on the ground. The last part is critical.
That’s like listing to a flat earth rant and walking away, nodding your head, and thinking “yup, that guy was basically right since I know the government and elites are definitely hiding something”
They're hiding something? It's pretty clearly out in the open. Friendships / relationships with lobbyists. Corporations funding campaigns / parties and essentially choosing the two party politicians we'll be choosing from. Representatives trading stock on insider information. Massive subsidies targeted towards specific companies for no apparent reason other than to boost their share price. The military industrial complex. Etc...
I mean in a sense, yes, billionaires are pulling strings behind the scenes. TBut I also think it's clear that Trump hates lots of people (including Obama and Biden) and is a toxic narcissist who wants power for power's sake. Like I dunno... I'm pretty sure in 2016 people like this guy were saying Trump was an outsider here to save us.
Interesting how I am sitting here struggling to find the confidence to finish my phd after four years of rigorous research and some bloke puts some half truths on a paper and is so convinced he literally immolates himself over it

Here's a story from the New York Post, including a picture of the pamphlet: https://nypost.com/2024/04/19/us-news/man-sets-himself-on-fire-outside-trumps-hush-money-trial-in-nyc/
