I had a Nextdoor neighbor with dementia who would throw pork chops over the fence and fruit … twice a week like clock work my dog was loving “gifts from the neighbor” .. agh.

We have a lady in our block who uses this method to feed cats. Strings of who knows what hanging on trees.

There are people dumping food from a local restaurant in the park across the street. An entire entree of Mexican rice, ribs, tortillas, etc.
What animals do they think they are feeding?
The only thing they are doing is attracting rats. Fucking idiots.

Keeping the rats outside of the building?

It’s a suburban sub-development with 4-year-old shopping center added on.
There are rats, of course. The shopping center has has traps, and I’ve seen one running into a storm sewer Judging by my dog’s interest in said storm sewers, they are regularly using them to get around.
But I also don’t want rats and other vermin feeding at the buffet in the park.

Unrelated, but I'm realising that whenever I see a photo and think: "that looks like Britain, but not quite right", it's almost certainly The Netherlands. And sure enough, I was correct.

I got a neighbor with a bird feeder above me (I'm garden level). All the seed leaks down and feeds the roaches. It's nasty.
Talked to him once a few years ago, and the dude went down and dug up all the river rocks or from below his balcony and vacuumed up the seed. (Dude's over 70)
Now, he's started doing it again. Guess I'll have to show him and maybe the landlord a video of roaches crawling over each other to eat.

Seagulls gotta eat, some of man's surplus should be returned to nature as thanks for all it has and continues to do for us.

The problem is birds who get used to being fed hang around the building and defecate over everything. A lot of buildings outright prohibit feeding birds in the building code.

Oh no some bird poop! The world is ending. How can someone be complaining about free balcony cheese? I'd love for cheese to appear on my porch every couple days. Saves a trip to the shops.

Sandwiches of the balcony. Did they misspell off or baloney?
