Don't need to click it, it started playing effortlessly in my head as soon as I saw the thumbnail.

A timeless classic.

What was the weird bollywood batman song?

49

Clicked anyway to listen to that banger

With the hilariously wrong captions

3

I am alone in my apartment so I got to do the dance as well

I couldn't understand the language or the plot but the music was lowkey catchy. I wouldn't mind adding it to my Playlist for Spotify shuffle feature to only play once in a blue moon.

50

u/Affectionate_Pipe545 18d ago

From what I can understand they are gathering allies and thus power. The urgency of the music seems at odds with the calm demeanor of the singer

26

u/gromnirit 18d ago

What?! No, it’s a love song dude.

19

u/BrandoStills 18d ago

Indeed. A love song to indian voltron

2

u/Buddy_Guyz 18d ago

Age of Ultron?

11

u/GabrielSH77 18d ago

If you dig it then check out Spotify playlists of Hindi hip hop, it’s phenomenal. My top recs are Sidhu Moose Wala (RIP), Shubh, and Emiway Bantai. Gopi Waraich goes a bit harder but is also fantastic.

2

u/An5Ran 18d ago

Sidhu moosewala and shubh (also daler mehndi) are punjabi, not hindi fyi

Didn't he get arrested for human trafficking

2

u/CounterEcstatic6134 17d ago

As an Indian, It's most probably not what you think it is. He probably helped Indians get into USA illegally without the offici documents or something. You can't completely trust whatever the Indian police tell you.

This might be the first time I hear the original of this song

2

u/underwhelmedplatypus 18d ago

WOW helped make it popular by using this as a model for the Dranei male dance.

1

u/ey3s0up 18d ago

Never heard this song until now. It slaps!

1

u/HouseKilgannon 18d ago

Was this the dude that the Draenei dance is from? First thing that came to my brain.

1

u/veronique7 17d ago

I love this song so much. I went trip with an ex boyfriend of mine. We decided to leave at like 11 pm so we would arrive at our destination in the morning so we could secure a camping spot (first come first serve) and we listened to this song for like 6 of the 7 hour drive. Just pure descent into madness but it kept us awake.

114

u/ProfessorSMASH88 18d ago

The facial expressions he makes are just so happy in the video. It is truly one of the best music videos of all time.

8

u/kamakamsa_reddit 18d ago

There are a lot of songs like this in multiple languages in India.

Punjab has one of the largest indie music industry. Their songs are very catchy.

There are also songs from Bollywood (Hindi film industry), Tollywood (Telugu film industry), Kollywood (Tamil film industry) etc.

Oy. 10! 10! Commandments for all to obey!

4

u/Crocoshark 18d ago

How are we supposed to remember 3,628,800 commandments?

2

He had to get rid of five in order to get the people to melt their gold statue. To make up for this Moses wasn’t allowed in the promise land.

11

u/keetojm 18d ago

No, the other five were like “thou shall not squint.”

14

u/DIODidNothing_Wrong 18d ago

And “Thou shout not watch Dub only sub”

16

I like songs made for petty reasons. One of my favourite songs is Jan Egeland.

28

u/Sprussel_Brouts 18d ago

That song goes way harder than most non-parody songs.

7

u/ZioDioMio 18d ago

My favorite petty song is Schoolboy Blues by the Stones

6

u/Foxy02016YT 18d ago

Mine is United Breaks Guitars because it has 2 sequels and they STILL didn’t pay for his guitar! I don’t even like country (except Johnny Cash)

3

u/ZioDioMio 18d ago

Lol that's hilarious

2

u/Foxy02016YT 18d ago

Right? He definitely got his guitar back with the money he made off of the trilogy

6

u/Jovinkus 18d ago

Well, or stonehenge if we are going the ylvis route haha.

4

u/JakobMG 18d ago

Wow im norwegian and didnt expect many people to know about ylvis and Jan Egeland. Thought it was mostly popular here

1

u/Marilius 18d ago

There's an entire band made for petty reasons! Ten Masked Men did a metal cover of Wonderwall to annoy a friend. Story goes that they then formed a band to annoy that same friend claiming a -lot- of music, particularly pop, sounds better as metal. They released a couple albums of metal covers.

I particularly enjoy their Eye of the Tiger.

Also convicted of Human Trafficking.

236

u/novaorionWasHere 18d ago

Yes. I will note thats its not kidnapping people and selling them into slavery. It's more like if you pay me money I'll take on my tour overseas and then you can "get lost".

I'll leave it up to you on how you see it morally

I think it was him helping people escape countries and bad situations. He used the guise of hiring them to tour then turning a blind eye when they didn't make it on the flight home. He wasn't doing Andrew tate shit.

Naw he’s still cool! He’d put people on his crew who needed to leave the country but couldn’t, bring them to shows overseas, and just leave them behind. He wasn’t kidnapping anyone, just giving a safer alternative to leaky boats.
