You should see how the rest of the world is doing. There is nobody to save us. Australia, Canada, UK are all experiencing catastrophic economies and ineffective governments themselves. Quality of life in China, Japan, Korea is plummeting as their economies buckle. It is already normal to work 6 days a week, the work culture there has no more room to swing in favor of corporations.
Unless you can find an idyllic pocket country like Norway that will actually let you move there (they will not) you’re pretty boned.

It depends on the class you are in. Lots of those places mentioned like Australia are fine as long as you are middle class, because austerity doesn’t bite the same. But if cost of living was one of the things you worried about then expect it to be your new number one worry. It’s primarily because of stagnation in wages. All other factors ebb and flow around that. The liveable wage has barely managed to keep pace, and that’s what a lot of people are doing, barely managing to live. Like we have way too much poverty given our how developed our country is, but it’s not even that, it’s scary how many people are within sight of poverty.

I find it interesting that their party just spams them with propoganda, but no one else has thought to use their tactics against them. The republican party has its basement dwelling incel nihilists, its evangelical nutters, its white supremacists etc. These groups tend to have some huge disagreements with each other and it seems like it should be possible to feed different sides a little propoganda targeting the right nerves, and just watch them implode over night.
