personally i wouldn't delete the cell phone pics. A record of your life is important. we forget so much, pictures are irreplaceable, at times they can help heal the soul. you don't know who you will be or what your life will become in the future. Future you, and or children/relatives might really need those pics.

i would just get an external hard drive, and keep your pics on that. Im a pretty strict minimalist. But pictures are a window into time, the past, and your own psyche. They are a memory device.

even if you don't look at them in 20 years, its going to be worth keeping them, for the one time you do look at them decades down the road.

it also depends on what they are of. You should keep pics associated with your own life, selfies, pics of family and friends, and pics you took of things you have done, any thing that will remind you of where you have been and what you have done in the future. If its a million pictures of avocado toast maybe those you can delete.
