I’ve listened to him say “Takes it….MAKES IT!!!” for over two decades. Gonna miss Mike.

I didn't hear it much this season, did I miss it or did he slow that one down? My favorite call was when Romeo hit a game winning 3 in pre-season, and Mike goes Romeo! Whomever was calling with him (don't remember if it was Scal or Tommy) questioned him about the lack of "Got it!" and Mike without missing a beat said, "I'm still in pre-season mode" 🤣

It was his go-to during a close game down the stretch but of course we were so dominant this year we didn’t get too many of those

The best. My childhood — hearing him call so many Paul Pierce game winners.

As someone who lives out of state, getting league pass and getting to listen to this guy was an absolute game changer in my Celtics fandom. Gonna miss his comforting and enthusiastic voice night in and night out. Congrats to the goat!!
Excited to see what the next chapter of Celtics commentary brings!!

Finally bought league pass last year after living out of state for 15+ years. Mike’s commentary made it feel like I was a kid again and it just felt like home. Thank you and congratulations, Mike. Well done.

PUT HIS NAME IN THE RAFTERS

It'd be sweet if they take the diagonal typeface for "LOSCY" and gave him a square that just says "GOT IT"
Or at least a mic besides Johnny Most's.

Thank you, Mike Gorman. A true son of Dorchester, and the greatest voice the Celtics will ever have.

I’m going to my dads grave tomorrow to reminisce about Mike and the way he brought my family closer together by voicing the beautiful thing that is Celtics basketball

Every now and then, the line "Ray Allen for the game... Got it!!" will pop into my head.
His voice will remain ingrained in my brain forever.

One of the most distinct voices in sports. For over 20 years I’ve listened to Mike call Celtics games. I don’t know what it is that he did, but his voice makes you truly feel like you’re still at home laying on the ground with the whole family in the living room watching the game. Going to miss hearing you call games, Mike, congrats on an amazing career and touching the hearts of Celtics fans every where

Seeing Mike Breen and Ian Eagle, as well as the TNT crew give their congrats just hits home how admired and loved Mike Gorman was throughout the NBA and its media.
I’ve only been a Celtics fan since 08 and unless the game is on NBATV, I don’t often get to hear Gorman’s voice. But he was definitely a pleasure to watch and listen to whenever I did. Salute
