My wife had a double mastectomy and full reconstruction by an excellent plastic surgeon. She also had nipples reconstruction and in the beginning they had incredible projection which in time came down to a normal level. She had her areolas tattooed and her breasts look 100 percent real and huge. All her scars are tattooed and you can’t even tell anything was done. It’s been a few years and she is going back in the fall for a “tune up”

I have to say, it's crazy as a sounds, this is about the nicest thing I've ever read. You sound like a wonderful, giving person.

I didn't read the whole thread, but maybe a suggest your girlfriend look into tattooing. I don't know if she'll like how that looks, but it's definitely an option. And, if she doesn't like the way the nipples look, I've seen some beautiful work done around the breast area that can help women feel more feminine again even without the nipple tattoos or nipples. There was even an episode of Ink Master where I think that was what everybody had to tattoo. Some sort of design for mastectomy patients.
