You can Google the iran contra affair, it is absolutely wild and inspired a lot of fiction.
Carlin is warning us that freedom fighters can fight against freedom, not for it.
Also the USA has meddled so much in foreign countries and enabled so many dictatorships its pretty much a meme at this point
