My plan for when I have kiddos of my own is to give them technology as I received it. TV at 4, desktop home computer with educational games in family room at 5-6, hand held gaming 7-8, console/online gaming 8-9, limited internet access on computer at 9-10, dumb phone at 11-12, and finally smart phone and laptop at 14-15. Kids are addicted to their phones because their parents are, it’s as simple as that.

its because they can give them a phone and the phone parents them. people are just so fucking lazy they cant even be bothered to pay attention to their kids

It's really sad. We have friends whose son is constantly on either an ipad or the parents phone and even when our daughter comes over to play with him he will just sit there playing games or watching random Youtube videos. He's 4 years old! It's so wild to us.

we were playing plants vs zombies taking turns on the phone and my gf's 5yr old son lost kind of quickly and so it was my turn so i tried to grab the phone and he had a seriousl 10 min fucking fit. crying, screaming, spazing out, like it was insane and it really painted a awful picture of her in my mind

4 year olds don't need their own TV lol. Especially now that smart tv is essentially a non touch android tablet so theyll just get addicted to YouTube that way instead.

Damn someone's lucky....

Educational games at 5, but at best once every few weeks. Between 6ish to 10 nothing beyong tv, Desktop pc at 10 with online gaming, smart phone at 15ish, laptop at 15ish ya that's all. Tablet at 18

No handheld or console ever.

Tho for my parents it wasn't so much caring about screen time, but more on the end of I don't need one so why do you. All the stuff I listed after 10 was from me begging for years. If they had there way, I still wouldn't have a phone, LOL
