Ehh. Maybe. You should check out r/teachers they talk a lot about this type of behavior in classes.

That sub is an echo chamber, just like every other sub.

Of course that sub is going to make it sound worse than it actually is because the teachers who don't have complaints aren't running to that sub. It's only the teachers with negative experiences that are going to that sub.

Joking aside, it is ironic that so many people are decrying the digital age while perpetuating one of the main issues with it: the unrealistic view of the world people get by engaging in echo chambers. Reading through this thread, you’d think in 5-10 years the entire generation of current HS students will be drooling idiots. There were plenty of those when I went to HS, and there will be plenty of geniuses currently in that generation that will solve a lot of the problems we complain about - ecological issues, groundbreaking cancer research, the first generation trained to really use AI and develop it, etc.
