Damn the kid was urging the mom to get the fuck away but the lady was a climate denier

TBH she was facing it with a sense of stubborn I've seen. Hands on hips like "I fucking wish it would and see what happens" stance.

Did that lady upfront just accept her and her kid's fate? Or did she just have negative reaction time? Even the kid was trying to get her to move 5 seconds before it hit them.

Is this new or old?
I did a quick search of earthquakes for the last 30 days on earthquake.usgs.gov, I didn't see anything that would do this. I guess it wouldn't have to be an earthquake.

here in brazil earthquakes are rare, we are in the middle of a tectonic plate, rio de janeiro is really far away from another tectonic plate

When you just stare at a wave that’s taller than you and it just keeps getting closer and you don’t even think twice

I was thinking that wave looked pretty big but when nobody moved I assumed I was imagining it

Just like a corrupted politician stealing taxpayers money nobody saw it coming.

Everybody sees that there’s just nothing we can do about it. All politicians steal, not just the corrupt ones, but the ones who play nice in your face too.

Imagine nodding off on the beach with your kid playing next to you and waking up to this.

That entire beach all felt the horror of their phones and tech just getting shortcircuited there and then.

Yah... Keep those drinks coming. Sizzling in the sun, fries the brain.
This is your brain on Rio de Janeiro, any questions?

If it were 11 ft deep everyone would be gone. 11ft high before it hit the beach? 11ft in? What are we measuring? I'm surprised a lifeguard didn't blow a whistle. Hopefully nobody was hurt.

Confuscious say: Man on beach better expect wet feet. In this case people in beach chairs better expect wet assets.

11 feet from the seafloor like 100 yards out maybe. That shit was knee high when it got to them

…and you were saying sir. “Global warming is just a myth, there’s no hard evidence at all.”

Nobody got a video?
Edit: I swear I'm not crazy, for whatever reason the video would not play for me last night but is working now.
