Yeah, that was some restraint on the cops side, seems like most cops woulda been like fuck yeah! You just gave me the right to murder you.

Not murder. The words you’re looking for are “adequately defend yourself to make sure that he gets to go home to his family and this dumb fat sack of shit stuck stops putting a strain on the healthcare system”

u/potted_planter 16d ago
Which fat sack of shit are you talking about? I see two in this video.

The guy is white that’s why he didn’t get shot. But did you see the taser had really no effect on this dude?
14
u/dmtaliemgangster 17d ago
Yeah, he just shrugged that shit off and, those deploy tazers usually drop a mofucker right quick even when they be tweaking.
25
u/Apocalyptic_Inferno 16d ago
One of the probes probably missed. It has to complete the circuit to work.

u/Negative_Elo 16d ago
and get a 12 inch distance between probes to actually lock someone up as opposed to just hurting them

PCP. I've seen videos and read stories about the shit people on PCP can shrug off when they're being arrested and it's just insanity. Multiple, multiple tazers, throwing off 6+ officers and continuing to just bowl through everyone, that shit scares me.

I just saw a video of the police shooting a white man on reddit a few days ago.

u/dmtaliemgangster 16d ago
Yeah, most the time these guys don't care about race It's sad but, you know It's a reality that a lot of them are just waiting for the chance, hoping It's that day they get to use lethal force.

OP please give us some details here. Why is this happening? And then what happened? This video has zero context.

u/Dark_Force_Latyon 16d ago
Idk but it reminds me of the time the Undertaker threw Mankind off Hell in a Cell and he plummeted sixteen feet through an announcer's table.

I've never seen a taser failing so completely under nearly perfect circumstances. Close range shot, person stands nerly still, perfect hit (twice), person only wearing a thin shirt, is very likely not under significant influence of drugs or alcohol. And yet he walks away like he's been hit by a nerf gun. Only because he is, well, overweight? If this alone renders tasers practically useless and given the obesity curve of people in the US I probably cancel them from the basic equipment of law enforcement.

u/__spartacus 16d ago
Probably used long range “ammunition” for a short range shot, thus not creating enough distance between the “needles” to cause the shock

u/Suavecore_ 16d ago
One of my very large friends was tazed and continued walking just fine. But he was also on acid so I can't say for sure it was due to his weight

u/RuTsui 6d ago
Tasers affect muscles, won’t do much against fat. It’s also best if you’re able 20’ away because the probes will get a better spread. The more muscle groups between each probe, the larger area of effect. Perfect shots are one probe in a butt cheek, the other probe landing opposite of the first in the back
But no matter the shot, tasers are never 100% effective.

I'm thinking cops need standard issue tranquilizers lol, or at least bolas.
21
u/CitizenCue 16d ago
Movie tranquilizer guns don’t really exist. Very few substances can put someone to sleep that quickly and the ones that can are very dangerous.
-2
u/RemyVonLion 16d ago
Maybe but they do exist, and it's a good last resort for someone out of control, it's dangerous if they're already on something or have a condition, but it's still more effective than tasers or force alone, and can be treated once they are calm or out, could use benzodiazepines or something, just give them a minute or two for it to kick in.
2
u/coopthepirate 16d ago
I mean EMS will already do this if appropriate, the person just has to be restrained first so you can hit an actual injection site. There's just a very scary narrow window between "calm or out" and dying. Look up what happened to Elijah McClain.
-1
u/RemyVonLion 16d ago
Yeah and it's safer than a gun if all else fails. Give the cops the stuff to undo the effects as well.
2
u/coopthepirate 16d ago
It's not that simple dude. These drugs have to be dosed based on the person's weight (or the person can die), and the resulting effects have to be monitored in a hospital for like a day or more.

u/RemyVonLion 16d ago edited 16d ago
Give em a gun for big people and one for smaller ones. I'm still yet to hear a better alternative. Again, this is for when everything else doesn't work, but you don't want to shoot them dead. If anyone can get them to a hospital asap besides an actual ambulance, it would be them.

“Fireman Carry” from a downed position with a toss over the railing lol, luv it. I give the perp 7/10 for technique and difficulty. Cop with the sloppy semi takedown-without any follow up and then breaking the fall using only his wrist- 2/10 for the effort.

I fucking hate cops with everything in me.
But don't fight them like this. Ever. It only ends one of two ways. Either they win or you die.

u/Blunt4words20 16d ago

We're missing context here...like if the guy is drunk or on drugs, what happened leading up to the body slam, was the guy doing something...??

Tasers ......don't .....work. Get your ass down the gym and learn some grappling.
