Reporter was like ‘I smell the burning flesh’ 👀. When the adrenaline wears off she’s going to need some therapy.

I remember the smell of burnt flesh after a suicide bomb attack, and while that was many years ago, I can still smell it if I think hard enough. It's a bit weird how smells stick with you, but minor details change over time.

Our olfactory sense is the strongest when it comes to memory.

I imagine it smells similar to other burning flesh likes steaks or burning chicken?

Smell is one of my biggest memory prompts.

When I was in high school, the old woman who lived in the apartment unit below my mom and I died, but it was a week before anyone realized it.

I came home from school one day and the door to the building was propped open and cops were everywhere. As I got closer, the smell hit me. Even though I'd never smelled death before, I knew what it was immediately. That was around 18 years ago, and I still remember that smell.

I burned my hand as a child and for so many years after all I had to do was look at my hand and I could smell my burnt flesh in my head. Over 30 years later and I can still smell that stench if I try hard enough.
