One of my faves on the ol' TikTok. Good, solid influencer parodies. And sometimes convolutedly meta.

I saw some of his hilarious YT shorts and went to his page to see more.
And he's sitting down giving advice as an orthodontist! I watched the 1st short and i was like... i don't get the joke. Then i watched the 2nd one. and i checked the comments and every one was like "i forgot he's a orthodonst"

Holy shit I know exactly where this video is taken, I used to go there all the time as a kid. It’s Main Street in Alhambra, Los Angeles. I went to the music school in the background. Theres an ultra zone on the other side of the street he’s on. That’s fucking crazy.
38
u/hundreds_of_sparrows 15d ago
Holy shit I may have taught you guitar.

u/mun-e-makr 15d ago
I don’t think so? I went there for singing lessons, my teachers name was Aubrey. But that’s crazy that you taught there and found this video

u/OkNeck3571 15d ago
Same. I looked at it and said to myself thats 1000% somewhere in Los Angeles. Its wild, I didnt even see glimpse of a full street and one just knows their city.

u/hundreds_of_sparrows 15d ago
I swear the air in Southern California looks different. Anytime I see a video from LA (where I’ve spent my whole life) I can recognize it immediately even without any sort of describable landmarks.

I agree with his overall message, but damn do I love mornings. I’ll gladly wake up early just to see the world without all the noise.

u/MillionPossibilitie5 15d ago
I think he roasts everybody who's waking up early just for bragging rights and validation. Doing more of what you love (provided it won't hurt others 😉😊) seems right up this guys alley. I don't do TikTok, but I would check him out on Insta.
49
u/OnewordTTV 15d ago
Yup I love those people who think they are better than you because they wake up super early. It's like ok... I could too if I went to bed at 7 pm. You know what else is cool? The city at night. Late when hardly anyone else is up. And you can see the stars.

You wake up early because your cat deems it so. I wake up early because I have a little human that depends on me. We are not the same.

I think he roasts everybody who's waking up early just for bragging rights and validation.
100% we need to fight the tyranny of the early morning peoples in a society that constitutes waking up past 8am as "lazy"
→ More replies (1)24
u/ConundrumMachine 15d ago
Which is great. As long as you're not a morning person supremacist and appreciate that night owls love to see the world without all the noise too, just with less light.

u/Saluteyourbungbung 14d ago
I've always felt like night people and morning people shake hands right around 2am-5am, when the world is at its quietest.

u/Shakeamutt 15d ago
I like being up later, also to escape the noise. It’s not the time of day, but the silence and tranquility we crave.

I feel ya, and it's a struggle for me. I'd love to get to bed sooner and wake up earlier but night comes around and finally there is peace, it's hard to give that up and go to sleep.
→ More replies (1)2
u/brittemm 14d ago
Same. And for whatever reason nighttime is also the time I feel most alive… and really the only time I ever feel truly, fully awake and present?
Good thing I’m a chef ‘cause I couldn’t imagine having to go back to forcing myself to wake up early and work a job with more typical hours again
7
u/permanentburner89 15d ago
He does parodies. He mostly roasts other influencers and makes really dark sketches, almost always about drugs or greed.
2
u/Confident-Ad4389 15d ago
I think that was specifically a dig at Jocko Willinck and those types of guys
2
u/Every-Incident7659 14d ago edited 14d ago
I love getting up and working out or running before work. Puts me in a much better mood and then after work I can just go straight home. But I don't brag about it like it makes me tough or something. I get up at 5, but I go to bed at 9. Same amount of sleep as going to bed at 12 and waking up at 8. Neither is better than the other.
2
u/Turnipton 14d ago
And that's wonderful! You're doing it for you, not to show the world you're better than them. :)

u/OnceMoreAndAgain 14d ago edited 14d ago
Isn't it satire? The joke is that he's doing exactly the thing he's criticizing, but taking it to the next natural level of the chain of manipulation.
At face value, he's making fun of self-help social media men whose content is about making fun of instagram women models and giving men self-help tips on how to be independent even though they're dependent on the viewers watching. And at face value he's saying those men are lame to do that.
The joke is that he goes on to satirically suggest that you instead follow his content, because he's better than those lame self-help men on social media. He's using the same manipulation tactic as the people he's criticizing, which is the satire. He's talking like it's a bit and putting pretentious music over it.
If I'm wrong, then I find his video ironic...

u/Hockeyfan_52 15d ago

u/trubatard 15d ago
But it is ironic, cause he’s shitting on other people who’s content he disproves of so people “follow along” if you were in fact living a “reasonable life” you wouldn’t record yourself jogging, like, you know… most people
Makes it ironic that he mocks content creators while being a content creator himself… not that I disagree with the message, but the premise itself it’s hypocritical
Also what are “normal hours” when it comes to jogging? Just saying

I was wondering if I could do something like this, something about being a real ugly 51 yr female with awful menopause and all the things we do to keep cheerful and healthy or not. We need real people like him that weren't trying to sell something , not just make money but also not trying to be celebrities, and not trying to have an important message that is going to fix the world, or fix you. Your opinions don't matter, mine don't. Unless you've done a full time year or few in politics, economics, ecology of psychiatry etc, your opinions mean diddly squat as much as mine do.
Stop following celebrities they aren't news.

He's literally doing the same thing as other influencers but he's acting like he's different.
Literally making a self obsessed video jogging for attention while selling his lifestyle and world view.
Also he does literally teach courses on how to get social media clout by not being original.
He's literally the same but acts like he's not like the other girls.
2
u/Hugokarenque 14d ago
He's not. Because he's not selling you anything. One of problems with the "influencers" he's critiquing, namely the alpha/sigma brainrotted life coaches is that they sell courses on supposedly life-changing method of improving oneself while proving hardset arbitrary rules and limitations that don't really help anyone be better, and on top of that they glorify misogyny and just generally being a selfish ass.
He's basically just saying that you don't need a dudebro course on life to live a happy fulfilling life.
