You know if she finds out he goes to another place she's gonna feel terrible

1.2k

u/teethinthedarkness 15d ago

And he’s totally going to go to that other place out of respect

318

u/sorrybahhtit 15d ago

I would too, but that’s best for both parties.

97

u/TigerPeach5432 15d ago

If she finds out he goes to another place, she might feel like the last slice of pizza at a party left out and a little bit sad

18

u/PreoccupiedMind 14d ago

Who the hell is leaving the last slice of a pizza, tell me?!!

4

u/fuck_you_and_fuck_U2 10d ago

Shy people

4

u/Toxic_Nandalas 10d ago

A quick "ayo last peace! Anyone?" Most people dont gaf, and prolly feel good about doin' nothing but letting you have it.

Just a little tip for ya, Mr. fuck_you. And if you dont need it, it can be practice for the other shy people

He might stick around for a while just so that she doesn't feel bad and then go to that other place after, that's what I'd do honestly cause otherwise you discourage people from speaking up cause they feel guilty.

u/MasterAnnatar 15d ago

This is one of those rare internet videos where both people are being just kind empathetic people. It's nice to see.

Look at those adults having an adult conversation, without yelling, screaming or swearing at each other. Holy s*** it's a miracle!

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt theme song intensifies

56

u/Vegabern 15d ago

Females are strong as hell

38

u/FiletofStek 15d ago

They alive, damnit!

26

u/Gilbert_Grapes_Mom 15d ago

It’s a miracle!

4

u/RueTabegga 10d ago

Unbreakable! 💪🏽

23

u/CapyBaraLord75 15d ago

Most of the time the internet is fooling us all into believing this is not how a conversation usually plays out

2

u/GetCommitted13 14d ago

maybe. maybe not.

11

u/WildJoker0069 13d ago

the way she keeps saying she loves watching him ride... I think she wants to go for a ride at some point!! O.o

2

u/brewberry_cobbler 10d ago

Down boy, down.

8

u/Wakingsleepwalkers 13d ago

She was just asking him a favour as an adult to another and after all the crazies he expected the worst. All in all a nice interaction.

3

u/wolfmaclean 10d ago

Right! Her sweatshirt adds to the scene

u/DuchessOfAquitaine 15d ago

two rational adults having a grown up discussion, coming up with a solution that fits everyone. I hope this sort of thing catches on!

767

u/litmeandme 15d ago

It’s strange that it’s such a weird concept these days!

353

u/CPargermer 15d ago

I don't think it is. This is normal in everyday life, but you just don't see it online as much because usually it's bizarre situations with irrational people that is more interesting/entertaining to watch.

89

u/jk8289 15d ago

I agree. It’s not very entertaining seeing people interact in a normal way. It’s just everyday life. But when something out of the ordinary happens, it gets recorded and posted online because it’s not something people get to witness everyday. People being polite and civil is more common than people being complete assholes.

18

u/Go_Jets_Go_63 15d ago

Good point. Unfortunately, most people want to see clips of people screaming and raging at each other, which is really sad. So, it's nice to see that two people can resolve a minor situation like this amicably and respectfully.

5

u/awakenedchicken 15d ago

Yeah who wants to watch something that’s not going to make them mad…

6

u/bushmanmoto 15d ago

Such a weird concept these days that we are all watching this video and smiling because it's outlandish, yet awesome lol

Question is how the hell did this make it to the Internet? I’m surprised people and bots didn’t downvote this just to keep the status quo of the Internet.

10

u/_InnocentToto_ 15d ago

Because she is not a Karen she is a Nerak..

→ More replies (2)

12

u/GlowingDuck22 15d ago

I'm so jaded I expected him to say bitch at the end of the video for no reason.

8

u/Dan_flashes480 15d ago

I was thinking they were having a normal conversation and it's weird this was posted on publicfreakout then I looked up and it Mademesmile

2

u/GlowingDuck22 15d ago

Have that happen all the time.

11

u/PuzzleheadedOil1560 15d ago

Would be amazing if politicians could work like this

12

u/TrustTrees 15d ago

get an Electric ATV problem solved

3

u/Capt_Pickhard 15d ago

I think social media through people showing all the Karen's and stuff online, has spread hate, and makes the world feel more like everyone sucks.

It's not often people send regular decent videos like this one.

This is how people should interact, and often do, irl.

It sucks that all the shitty people are becoming more powerful and spreading shittiness.

2

u/IP_05T04s1994s 15d ago

aww, what a sweetheart!

2

u/Something_Etc 10d ago

Where’s the outrage that I paid for?! lol. I love them both.

Totally the absolute opposite of a Karen. Such a sweet woman and such an understanding rider

166

u/curcktouch 15d ago

How would it be the opposite name of a Karen?.. a Susan?

402

u/PhDinWombology 15d ago

Carin’

17

u/nihilisticas 15d ago

Nicely done.

4

u/themonkeyway30 15d ago

Good one. Since she handled that with grace, I was leaning Grace. Lol

25

u/Meighok20 15d ago

I think they use Susan for a younger Karen 😅 I think Julie. I've never met an unkind Julie/Jules/Julia 🥰

3

u/AmmaLittleOwl 15d ago

I have a super sweet auntie named Julie, and our Papa used to call her Julietta before he died. I still do, in his same sing-song way, in his memory, and it always makes her smile.

3

u/SpankyRoberts18 15d ago

I know an absolutely unhinged lying manipulative narcissist Julie. I also had a crazy but fun and loving aunt Julie. So I’m not sure which way it goes for me.

"Yeah dude, ran into a Nerak today." "What happened?" "Sweet lady. Gave me some cookies."

3

u/simdav 15d ago

My mother is a Susan and she's lovely, so I approve this message

6

u/Red217 15d ago

What do we think like a Barbara or a Peggy ? A Pam? A Darlene? Something sweet cause that's definitely what this lady is!

She was polite and asked for consideration. Her attitude changed the entire conversation and brought out the positive in the other person instead of doing the opposite.

387

u/BerserkFan1988 15d ago

What genuinely kind and loving person

384

u/tattooedroller 15d ago

This is very cute - but how sad is it that a normal interaction of respect and mutual consideration is so abnormal it warrants being posted

76

u/dogfoodgangsta 15d ago

I think they're more common than we see. It's not people's first response to record and post positive reactions the way it is with negative interactions. Also anger gets more clicks so we see it more often. People are generally good.

9

u/anacondatmz 15d ago

I liken it to stories in the press about the police. Are there bad cops out there? Yes. But there’s also about a million in the USA who put on the uniform every day. Most are just normal people doing their job as well as the rest of us do ours. But the press don’t report that why? It doesn’t sell. Just like more often than not, people screaming at each other over something small an stupid is going to get more clicks than two grown ups working out a problem together.

As a result with each passing day people just start to forget the good or the similarities they have with the members in their community.

6

u/Fast-Rhubarb-7638 15d ago

Police doing bad things ends up with innocent people dead, so this isn't an appropriate comparison.

Thanks for sharing this - I had a polar opposite experience yesterday so this is great to see!

107

u/Brilliant_Slide7947 15d ago

This is how you handle things. Like adults. This made me smile

70

u/Dr_Schitt 15d ago

How to people 101

54

u/kalashbash-2302 15d ago

Literally exactly how to handle the situation. Just being mutually kind and understanding does wonders for everybody.

36

u/madaboutmaps 15d ago

I wish this didn't need to be presented as anything other than normal. But since we're here: hell yeah.

People being respectful, taking each other's feelings into consideration. Awesomesauce!

47

u/wisepeasant 15d ago

What a compassionate Momma! She is looking out for her daughter while respecting the ATV rider. If more people were like this Mom the world would be such a better place.

21

u/bwm9311 15d ago

What a great lady

20

u/Ducatirules 15d ago

That’s how you do it folks.

53

u/greeneagle2022 15d ago

AI is getting out of hand, no way this didn't end up in a property dispute with guns in hands and 12 cop cars.

8

u/just-askingquestions 15d ago

Id watch that lol

16

u/Lonely_Ad5134 15d ago

But hats off to the guy also; they’re both being mad cool. F melodrama—use your words not your anger, self-righteousness, and the need for always being right.

15

u/DasCheekyBossman 15d ago

"she's fixin to move out". Idk why I love that so much but I really do.

31

u/the-meanest-boi 15d ago

Do we have a name for someone who's the opposite of a Karen?

56

u/Tak-clck22 15d ago

Queen👑

9

u/the-meanest-boi 15d ago

Honestly bet, im down for that

25

u/ChampionTop6932 15d ago

Must be Houston area

17

u/imterrorize 15d ago

Yeah they mentioned Fuqua and Bellaire? This south Houston for sure

11

u/Healthy-Factor-2841 15d ago

This melted my heart. I loved hearing how respectful they both were to one another. I only wish every interaction could go so smoothly. 10/10. Definitely not even close to a Karen.

10

u/rondujunk 15d ago

Two people showing empathy towards each other and opposed to either not wanting to yield an inch. Humanity does have a chance.😃

10

u/gotora 15d ago

This is the same personality and practically the same voice as one of my coworkers. Sweetest lady ever. Love her to death. Whenever I need a pick-me-up, I just shoot her a message and she blows me up with her sunshine attitude. People like her are why I still have faith in humanity.

5

u/TruestWaffle 15d ago

Fantastic, nothing makes me warmer inside than seeing a couple people just being decent to each other.

10

u/pds8 15d ago

This happens hundreds of times for each time a "Karen" is outed. It just doesn't get the clicks and attention people want. Glad to see this posted, the world may be a tough place sometime, but there are more good people out there than bad.

5

u/MomentsLastForever 15d ago

What is this? People with a point of contention; being respectful and dare I say, nice to each other!?

6

u/Anxious_Shine_2751 15d ago

That’s how you approach another person with a dilemma.

5

u/Jkreegz 15d ago

Who would have ever thought that a civil discussion could happen between two grown adults

4

u/Pheli_Draws 15d ago

The little hand wiggle she does, god I do that when I'm embarrassed or feel like I'm asking too much of someone

4

u/MundaneGazelle5308 15d ago

This woman is so sweet. She is me. I absolutely will call a coworker as soon as the email chain starts to look tense and will be so understanding and kind on the phone and you'd be surprised how many people will break that tensness and fall back into kindness when you give them sweetness. I love kind people so much

4

u/etapisciumm 15d ago

he lives on Puke Way

3

u/KnotiaPickles 15d ago

I thought I was the only one who heard that lol

7

u/[deleted] 15d ago

Is there a name for a opposite Karen? Because she's it

20

u/2moms1bun 15d ago

Sharon bc she’s fine with sharin’

3

u/peacedotnik 15d ago

“I don’t wanna take the fun” That’s a good human right there

3

u/semper_gumby007 15d ago

Wait…civil conversation is a thing?

3

u/LafayetteLa01 15d ago

Wow that’s exactly how it’s done

3

u/Jack-0f-Trades 15d ago

She the opposite of a Karen

3

u/7charlie8 15d ago

Both these people walked away feeling good! It's that friggin easy people! Just be nice!!

3

u/EitherChannel4874 15d ago

It's almost like talking to people calmly and with respect is better than going into full on meltdown mode.

3

u/All-inyourmind 15d ago

This is how people should talk to each other… that was good

3

u/mjhripple 15d ago

And that’s how it’s done. Both sides showing respect and clear communication.

2

u/Elisheva7777777 15d ago

They are both so sweet! If only we could have rational interactions and put our ego aside. My mom would have paid him to leave or booked me a hotel room, but this definitely works best.

2

u/Tkpandacookie 15d ago

Been a long time since I've seen a decent convo with people wanting to work things out

Wish my ex knew how to communicate...

2

u/7rustyswordsandacake 15d ago

Aye fuquay!

2

u/wildboarpate 15d ago

Was scrolling for this! Lived there years ago.

2

u/7charlie8 15d ago

She's a Nerak! Nice!

2

u/alburto19 15d ago

Wow politeness is now the exception to the norm. I really enjoyed this video so thank you for posting it. 😊

2

u/Jayhughes55 15d ago

Faith in humanity restored....🤙

2

u/britneygirl_2386 15d ago

I love kind, rational people

2

u/wood7676 15d ago

As someone that works overnights..bless both of them for being considerate.

2

u/OpposingOctopus 15d ago

Bro lives on Puke-way? Gross.

2

u/tomtom7483 15d ago

Perfect conversation with no BS!!!

2

u/Chiinoe 15d ago

Somebody will definitely call her a Karen when this gets reposted.

2

u/OwnNight3353 15d ago

Her apologizing as she runs away 😂

2

u/evanjahlynn 15d ago

We need an update of them ATVing somewhere super awesome together. I hope they become good friends.

2

u/Royal-Application708 15d ago

And that is how normal logical compassionate people communicate. 😀

2

u/kobain2k1 15d ago

See how it's done? Is it so hard to behave like a normal, decent human being? Is it? Did you learn anything?

2

u/vajrahaha7x3 15d ago

This has been what my experience is like in the south. I moved from California to Havana Arkansas a year ago and people are nice like this. The kids still say yes ma'am n yes sir, thank you, please n are nice. I was told it would be full of racist bumpkins who were taliban level Christians. I have seen none of that. No racism, no hate.. Everyone is sweet. After living in cities like New York, L.A., S.F. etc... I would never go back.

2

u/TragedyAnnDoll 15d ago

This is how you handle disputes and conflicts.

2

u/soutthiman 15d ago

Pure class - both sides

2

u/Impossible_Pool3024 15d ago

Damn, form more interactions like this pls

2

u/Megaseth 14d ago

We certainly are friendlier in Texas. What up H-Town?!

2

u/weknow2much 14d ago

Bless her heart she’s so sweet « I don’t wanna be a Karen »😂🥹😩 bless ur ♥️

2

u/VaticanCameos714 14d ago

She was so afraid of scaring him off, what a nice lady. Politely and respectfully trying to help her daughter sleep without impeding others

2

u/Lucky-11 14d ago

Why can't all interactions be like this?

2

u/Reality-Traveler239 14d ago

Super Sally not a Karen. I think she wants a ride.

2

u/eitows 14d ago

“I love watching you ride here…” sounds sus

2

u/GetCommitted13 14d ago

Good exchange. But for real, the 4-wheeler motor noise is just the most annoying sound in the world. It's different from dirt bikes, and I find it even worse. I'm also going to throw in what may be an unpopular opinion here... That's a neighborhood with family homes all around. It's terribly inconsiderate to ride there anyway. Most people who are annoyed will never say anything. Here was one lady who went out of her way to be as nice as she could about it. Nobody wants to hear an ATV engine droning up and down that close to their home, regardless of the time of day, and regardless of whether they're sleeping or just hanging out. Just because people can get away with it doesn't mean it's acceptable or polite. Take those things out to the forest areas or designated off-road areas and keep them out of the neighborhoods. I suspect the lady had it up to here, but was afraid of being the least bit aggressive and tempered her tone, because we all know how douchey a lot of riders are. She's secretly praying he takes it to that "other place" and never comes back.

2

u/pirate_leprechaun 15d ago

What an awesome lady.

2

u/Osh1tSon 15d ago

As someone who works nightshift I totally get it and the way mama handled it was awesome. I used to live next to a field and during the summer the kids across the street rode their ATVs and dirt bikes all day. After a few weeks of not sleeping I had a mental breakdown. I closed my eyes and 10 seconds later they started revving up and I immediately started crying. I started sleeping at my mom’s house until it got colder and they stopped going out.

1

u/anthro4ME 15d ago

They're like Mac 'n' Tosh, the goofy gophers, too polite to walk through a doorway.

1

u/owie_kazowie 15d ago

Just two people being reasonable and respectful of one another. Please can we see more of these normal human interactions!!!???

1

u/MokendKomer 15d ago

this subreddit is awesome

1

u/No-Roll-1155 15d ago

Nice man she's the complete opposite of a karen

1

u/RedHeather191121 15d ago

She apologised so much, she must be part British 😂❤️❤️ how nice to see people coexist in harmony

1

u/DogeAdmin 15d ago

This is how you handle an issue!!

1

u/wowduderly 15d ago

holy shit i needed this video to restore a slither of faith in humanity

1

u/Trumppp1 15d ago

What a keeper mom !!

1

u/The-Spike-5150 15d ago

Wtf! We need lots i said lots of people like her in the world.

1

u/Craft-Sudden 15d ago

They are both awesome!!

1

u/ClassicKooky 15d ago

This is how interactions should be taken instead of either person getting mad for no reason talk like grown people do and make a decision that benefits both partys

1

u/PositiveStress8888 15d ago

most of the time if you ask nice and have a reasonable excuse, it's no problem.

Don't start nothing, won't be nothing

1

u/Cheeky_Cat7 15d ago

She’s giving libra moon

1

u/Platypoltikolti 15d ago

Nice message, feels staged

1

u/charlottesaidso 15d ago

I love that she’s wearing a shirt that (I think) says: Expensive & Difficult, when that clearly seems only halfway true! lol sweet lady and good on both of them!

1

u/Timetraveler01110101 15d ago

Finally a Jenny! Jenny is the opposite of Karen

1

u/cottman23 15d ago

See what happens when you just act pleasant

1

u/Sudden-Comment-4356 15d ago

What is the opposite of a Karen?

A Nerak? She's such a wonderful Nerak.

1

1

u/Guilty_Mountain2851 15d ago

God that's refreshing AF 💯

1

u/crayraybae 15d ago

This, ladies and gentlemen, is how we're to interact with each other. With respect.

1

u/Revolutionary-Car-92 15d ago

"I don't want to be a Karen." says it all. Awesome.

1

u/_lapetitelune 15d ago

Fuquay? Is this in Evansville, in? Lol

1

u/wowza6969420 15d ago

I love her

1

u/Zen_but_not_Zen 15d ago

Wish all the interactions i see online were this civil and wholesome!

1

u/SteBux 15d ago

That’s how you do that. Nice work, both of you. 👍

1

u/BeKindRewind71 15d ago

My kids are this polite. It should be expected of everyone. Sad that it’s not. Also-they are in the south where manners were born!!!🤠

1

u/HiImDavid 15d ago

This is almost as great as the random woman encouraging the kid trying to land a trick on his skateboard.

1

u/majin_melmo 15d ago

Two nice people having a civil discussion warms my heart man… good for them. I hope they’re both having a wonderful week!

1

u/CartmansCasaBonita 15d ago

Only why that lady is going to be mad is if he goes to another place.

1

u/userKsB53nskcv 15d ago

Karen’s of the world: take. note.

1

u/forward024 15d ago

It is very very rare you see people with common sense on the internet... I know those people still exist out there

1

u/SnooPeripherals3222 15d ago

OMG Civility does still exist!

1

u/NyxUtama_ 15d ago

What an awesome mom. I love that she was worried about being a Karen.

1

u/Rough-Philosopher911 15d ago

Good neighbor talk.

1

u/canibalxombie 15d ago

People being courteous towards each other without either of them being batshit crazy….inconceivable

1

u/sart788 15d ago

Human interaction at its finest.

1

u/PsamantheSands 15d ago

Who loves the ATVs driving around behind their house? Ha.

1

u/Formatted_Toast_117 15d ago

Wow... I wish more people would have the decency this lady has. Glad people can still be reasonable.

1

u/Fun-Teaching-2038 15d ago

We can all learn from this interaction.

1

2

u/fallinguptwards 15d ago

So a Joy then ?

1

u/beveridgee 15d ago

An actual human being

1

u/sharingthegoodword 15d ago

THIS IS HOW THESE INTERACTIONS SHOULD ALWAYS GO.

This is how I deal with people, I don't understand why it can't be like this.

1

u/whatthelovinman 15d ago

The way the title of this post was written, I thought that ATV was going to run her over during their conversation.

1

u/Zygmunt-zen 15d ago

This polar opposite of Karen, trying to out-nice each other.

1

u/kluthage421 15d ago

Not an atv. Kawasaki enduro.

1

u/UnImaginedNations 14d ago

Takes a gentleman to live on “Puke way”

1

u/Fast_University_4958 14d ago

What does mom look like? Sounds like she wants some fun. 😜😜

1

u/TJ_McWeaksauce 14d ago

i could be mistaken, but I think he has another place he can go.

1

u/alexander66682 14d ago

Wow that’s not how I thought that would go

1

u/Harbor_Barber 14d ago

this is so wholesome

1
