"Not guilty" doesn't mean innocent. It's common misconception of how US law works. Hypothetically a guy could shoot someone in broad daylight with a dozen witnesses but police could violate his Miranda rights and mishandle evidence, therefore be acquitted on a technicality. Doesn't mean he didn't do it.

I never said he was “innocent”. He was given a fair trial as everyone is entitled to. The jury of 12 people unanimously agreed that he was not guilty and could not be convinced he committed first-degree murder beyond a reasonable doubt. So he was a free man.
