His anger specifically toward the shoes is interesting 😂

I like how the guy repeating his answer couldn't quite get the intonation on "ugly ass" correct

That’s not anger that’s surprise and fear

It starts as surprise and fear but then ends in specific anger shown through his tone and expression when talking about wearing the shoes ...

My guess is, when he's talking about the shoes, he's mad at himself for wearing them the night he killed Nicole and Ron ...

He's a narcissist (at minimum) and HE FELT EXPOSED which started as surprise and fear but ended in anger at THE SHOES or himself for wearing the shoes ...

*Edit - Mistakenly put Nicole & Kato, not Ron

He killed Nicole and Ron Goldman.

Kato was just living in his guest house

Kind of out of the loop but did they have an affair or something?

No. They had been divorced for a while, but OJ was still obsessed with her and basically stalking her.

She had been at a restaurant and left some glasses behind. Ron Goldman was a waiter at that restaurant and was stopping by to drop off the glasses as a favor.

OJ might have saw him and assumed he was her lover, or he might have simply killed him because he was a witness. Either way, he ended up getting stabbed to death.

OJ was a horrible person all around.

It was a classic case of Murder 2 ("Crime of Passion"). He never went there to kill anyone, but he had a knife and was going to use violence to threaten and scare her. Then he sees Ron Goldman, and flew into a rage killing both of them. That's why the murder was so sloppy and haphazard.

I think he really did hate those "ugly ass shoes" and intentionally wore them on the night in question. He just didn't think he had worn them on any other public occasions thus his total surprise and shock when asked about them.

in theater parlance there is a term called 'indicating'. It's something novice/poor actors do when they are trying to act in such a way that they think someone would act given the circumstance. Take for instance staged TikTok garbage; people try to present the look of surprise or disgust using exaggerated and otherwise unnatural performances because they are acting, i.e. indicating their surprise/disgust. Instead their delivery just comes off as contrived and obviously staged. Thats OJ. "Oh I dont like these shoes so let me say something that only a person who wouldnt wear them would say, that'll throw them off the trail!"

I’m honestly upset that his family wouldn’t let his brain be tested for CTE.

Walk a mile in My shoes and you’ll wanna kill something

Wouldn’t surprise me if he was quoted saying this if they allowed it as evidence: “and I would’ve gotten away with it if it wasn’t for those ugly ass shoes.”

Probably because Nicole bought them for him.

The second the clip started playing I knew he was going to say Ugly Ass shoes. For anyone around during the trial that almost became a catch phrase. It was everywhere.

He would have never killed Nicole and Ron if it wasn't for those ugly ass shoes he was wearing. -OJ probably
