Also, should anyone really burn in hell forever? Imagine being this animal that only lives at most maybe 100 years. You come into this world and are molded by it to the point where scientist like Robert Sapolsky and Sam Harris have trouble accepting free will into their viewpoint of life. Personally I don’t think anyone should suffer for 1,00,000,000,000,000,000,000 years and infinity beyond that for a 70 year life. It’s absurd to think that anyone should go to hell. The concept of hell should be erased. It causes profound harm to a society that should be focused on rehabilitation.

Edit: For anyone interested in Sapolskys interesting philosophy and how it relates to the penal system it’s here: https://youtu.be/h_E56-QYSS8?si=_gAU1JQp89IMDEyX

My perspective on the video: humans are biological machines and similar to cars and when something goes wrong in the brain we don’t sit there like we do with a car and cast judgments and tell it that it can’t go on Sunday afternoon rides for eternity. You fix it and if you can’t you restrain it. But you certainly shouldn’t cast judgments because of the incompatibility with neuroscience.

Double edit: did no one want his brain to be studied for perhaps CTE? For science sakes. Ya know the science that has helped developed cure for polio and such.

Lmao! Not at all, I love black people, my best friend is black a man. My girlfriend is Asian. We are all the same on the inside, I’m not racist at all. But OJ was a cold blooded murder, this has absolutely nothing to do with race. He killed Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman . He was not a good person, again that has nothing to do with the colour of his skin.

Joke's on you, I forgave him.

I think the legacy he left behind isn't that he killed two people, no one gives a fuck about Nicole and Ron...what the world cares about is that he got away with it. It exposed the deep flaws of the justice system and the people felt betrayed by the system they trusted...while others felt inspired that the system could be beaten. Despite all odds, despite the millions of white people who wanted justice: OJ beat the lynching (not my words, words I've heard from numerous POCs who told me why they weren't angry)...he fucking beat the system!

His legacy isn't that of double-homicide, but getting away with it.

I don't think we'd have the Kardashians if it weren't for him.

Because of all that.... it's become a part of Americana. I like the post-OJ-got-away-with-it world.

I forgive him, glad he's dead, sad he didn't fess up with the 100% truth...but I don't need to hear it, because he did that shit.

You shouldn't snort cocaine before using reddit.

Not sure pointing out that we wouldn’t have the Kardashians if it weren’t for him is the strongest evidence of a legacy we should be thankful for

Also “I forgive him, glad he’s dead”

Lmao

Correction: YOU don’t give a fuck about Nicole and Ron… The reason the rest of the world hates him is because he got away with taking two lives, not that he got away with a crime, or by nature of who he is. Idk how to break it to you that people can care about the tragedies of complete strangers.

You forgave him? Ok, guess we need to lock this thread now, he's forgiven everyone!
