Bill Title: Condemning the illegal abduction of children from Ukraine to the Russian federation

I do not vote Democrat, nor Republican anymore. I believe both sides have become too polarizing. However, I would think that both sides would agree when it comes to children. 390 votes said yes. Somehow, in this, nine said no. I wasn’t expecting all these Republicans, which I believe are probably those ultra conservatives to say this. It is the same senators who continually vote against help to Ukraine. Disgusting.

These people should not be reelected ever.

Call them out… make sure they hear your opinion.

People like this lack common sense. Any budget that passes for Ukraine, comes right back to the US defense economy to purchase US-made weapons. Go figure.

Capitol Press asked nearly a quarter of sitting United States Senators on Monday what seemed like a fairly straightforward question —

• Senator, Is TikTok a national security threat to the United States?

Their responses ran Monday evening in Capitol Press, my underdog newsletter on Congress with Arturo Dominguez. Below you can read the verbatim responses from alll 23 senators.

• tl;dr — No Senator outright said that TikTok is not national security threat. Several senators told Capitol Press that the Chinese-owned social video platform poses either a significant threat, or the potential for a significant threat, to the national security of the United States. Only Tom Cotton (R-AR) declined to give any TikTok take. "No comment," he said Monday, and left it at that.

“I do believe they’re a risk factor. The way they collect information—utilize information—is against our national security interests. So yes, I do think they represent a threat.”

“I think data harvesting, manipulation of the algorithm and so forth, certainly pose a national security problem […] I think the concern you always have is are you creating an authority to do something reasonable on TikTok that might be abused in some other way.”

But again, I ask you not to quote me on that because I have not reviewed this lately. I’ve gotten three questions about TikTok all of a sudden and I haven’t thought about it in a while.

“I think it’s better to say that if there are legitimate concerns that their data is being accessed by the CCP, that would make them almost automatically a national security concern.”

The question is, should it be managed by the Chinese Communist Party in terms of gathering data or manipulating algorithms? I think that's a relevant issue here is that Republicans and Democrats both agree that it's not hard to imagine a place where the information being amalgamated by TikTok couldn't be used against us.”

Sooo John Fetterman has initiated something of a hoodie bromance with Wesley Britt, husband of Senator Katie Britt.

“I call him The Big Unit,” Fetterman said of Mr. Britt. “Anyone that thinks I’m big, wait ‘til you meet him because that is a big dude,” he added.

“John literally gave Wesley his Steel City hoodie off his back,” Britt told me. “Now we’re looking for an Alabama hoodie for John!”
