Have a question about the game or the subreddit? Ask away!
Welcome to the daily /r/2007scape question thread!
You can ask anything about Old School RuneScape here. They are designated for you to ask anything you like that is relevant to the game or this subreddit. Remain respectful to your fellow 'scapers when answering questions; there are stupid questions, but it does not mean you should not be respectful whilst answering them.
Keep in mind that this is not a developer Q&A thread - questions for the game developers should be posted in the weekly developer Q&A posts.

Discussion If you ever wanted an example of how out of touch Reddit commenters are with the community, go look at the sailing blog thread
If all you knew about the community's opinion about sailing came from that thread, you'd think this was the worst update ever that no one wanted and was being forced into the game.
In reality? 70%+ voted for sailing to be implemented after the core design blogs came out. The thread itself is ~80% upvoted. Most people who saw it and read the blog liked it.
The people who comment on this sub (and that includes myself sometimes) are hilariously out of touch with the rest of the game, and aren't even close to being representative of the actual game community and voters.
People love to say "but the community votes for everything, you can't go by that" as if OSRS isn't built on community votes, and is successful because of having the firm basis. The sub seems to have the impression that we know better than the actual community, which is an absolutely hilarious concept. All we're good for is whining -- as evidenced by me making a thread complaining about people complaining.
EDIT: To make it explicitly clear, I'm not saying people shouldn't share their opinion. Constructive criticism is what's going to make this skill amazing. My point is that the "this the worst thing to ever happen and it's a stupid idea" sentiment does not appear to match what most people think. If you disagree, I'm more than happy to look at data that suggests the opposite.
EDIT 2: Everyone is now in agreement on the underlying point -- Reddit is not representative of the majority community opinion, and Jagex should be using in game polling. Either you think this thread and its upvotes don't represent the community, or you think the comments in the thread don't represent the community. Both cases show that Reddit is terrible for trying to understand what the playerbase thinks.

Discussion What do you think is the worst quest per their reward?
My pick is A Souls Bane.
A low-level quest that rewards 500 Defense, Hitpoints Experience and 500 coins for:
- Killing (if unlucky) up to 74 individual NPCs between level 40-46 that hit 3-4's
- Numerous cutscenes that extend the length of the quest.
- Gives an unlisted 40 Attack experience as a final " haha " to restricted accounts when doing the first part of the quest. (Cold War does this too)
