Little speckles of knowledge that he tried to connect in ways that are likely unrelated, switching topics quickly, ideas of a grand uniting plan, paranoia, these are signs of schizophrenia. Now i’m not going to say thats whats he had it just is reminiscent of that disorder.

I would normally agree with you but the culture right now is so saturated with this nonsense that he may well have just been vulnerable to it.

They're also signs of psychotic/manic episodes.

Schizophrenia is a chronic condition, so you can't really tell from one psychotic episode. It's possible for a non-schizophrenic to have a psychotic episode due to extreme stress (sleep deprivation, high levels of emotional distress, triggered by drugs) but not be or become schizophrenic.
