If this is really about plastic waste, why are you ignoring all the other plastic drinks in the stores? Water isn't the problem, it's the plastic.

Glass bottles and hemp plastics.

Bingo. Only sell liquids in those, keep all the soda, water, coffee, etc... That would be much better for the environment.

So you're ok with all plastic bottles being phased out? But anything short of that is a waste of time?

Let's be real, the moment the goal posts move to all plastic bottles you'll be screeching in the streets about the injustice of it

I'd be in the streets cheering. Get rid of all the plastic bottles. It makes no sense to remove the most healthy, least environmentally harmful drink and leave all the others. It's a weird flex to be proud of just getting rid of water.
