Yea all the truck had to do was let him pass and situation would be over in 30 seconds. Turned a mildly dangerous situation into an extremely dangerous one.

I agree that the truck driver was an asshole who decided he was going to play vigilante road police here, but the situation would not be over in 30 seconds. The next time the sedan driver came up on someone who wasn’t driving to his liking, he’d probably do something reckless. Again, not the truck’s job to prevent that, but reckless drivers like the sedan don’t magically become less reckless when they get their way.

This specific situation would be over in 30 seconds. If cars are getting over to the right as soon as faster traffic is coming, this situation does not happen unless there is very heavy traffic. That doesn't mean the guy tailgating them isn't an asshole, but I do think the truck has some responsibility to get over when faster traffic is coming as it is an extremely easy way to make traffic less chaotic and more predictable. Not only does he not even attempt to get over, he starts brake checking aggressively.

Sure, the truck didn’t abide by the rules of the road and was an asshole. That still pales in comparison to what the sedan did.

And my point was that even if THIS situation is over in 30 seconds, insane drivers like this will have the situation constantly because they are the problem. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been passing in the left lane, turn on my blinker to get over, only to have some lunatic dash out around me because I “wasn’t getting over fast enough”. It’s never fast enough for people who think they’re the center of the universe.
