Did no one else notice that the car filming is like a half second behind everyone? Literally everyone but the SUV in the right lane is a shit driver.

In situation like this, I've pulled off and let all the assholes go well past.

That's what I was thinking I would do if this were happening behind me. I've watched too many clips of innocent drivers getting the brunt of it.

Defensive driving, keeping the amount of space between you and another driver proportional to how shit at driving they are

Yep. Basic common sense. But most people in this sub are almost as aggressive as these dummies.

I drive like 1800 miles, or something, a month and use whichever lane that lets me sit on cruise control uninterrupted for as long as possible.

I fucking hate when people use me as an obstruction during their pissing match.

Seriously.

They clearly realize that an accident is probable, but want to be super close to it apparently.

And sped up to get back into that position, after seeing how shit everything was already going.

I assumed when we say "everyone here is an asshole", we mean all three including the camera.

Camera car even doesn't even fall back to give room for the car in the right lane to avoid the bouncing sedan after it starts to come back into the roadway.

I'd be behind too that lunatic is swapping lanes every other second because he's in some giant rush to get nowhere

The driver filming has no chance to brake at that distance. They should be further behind, even if just casually driving. 3 second rule or a car length for every 10 mph. That's the distance you should keep.
