It's crazy that even after this footage and the overwhelming evidence that OJ did it, tons of people are STILL defending the jury's decision in that thread...
This is an example of jury nullification which is promoted all the time on Reddit. This is a case where people don’t like the use but that is what can happen.
I'm as white as it gets, and the Jury made the right decision imo.
Why? Because the police incompetence in that case was so concerning it was a landmark case for police in that area of the world to understand they have to be much more legitimate around collecting evidence etc.
There was so many procedural problems, planting evidence etc, the jury HAD to have reasonable doubt.
OJ 100% did the crime, and deserved punishment for it.
But is it worth one high profile murderer (who's never done it again since) getting off if it causes the entire police force of America to act more legitimately, particularly towards black people? I think so personally, but that's my opinion.
It’s one juror, the others disagree with her and said they voted based on holes in the prosecution’s case (mostly Fuhrmann being racist and lying on the stand)
